Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse 2021

This Lunar Eclipse will be exact on 05/26/2021 at 4:13 a.m. PT/ 7:13 a.m. ET/ 12:13 p.m UK

This lunar eclipse in Sagittarius is conjunct the south node of the moon, and it represents the culmination of efforts to release some physical aspect of a goal, a philosophy, or a point of view.

The initial seeding of these efforts occurred during the previous solar eclipse in Sagittarius which occurred on December 14th, 2020. On a national level, that was the same day that the first Covid vaccines were administered in the US, and it was also the day the Electoral College confirmed Joe Biden's presidency.

From that point of view, we could see the vaccine as the beginning of efforts to release Covid's deadly and disruptive grip on our lives, and the confirmation of the presidential election results could be seen as the beginning of letting go of the ideologies of the previous administration.

Think back to what transpired in your personal life around that time for insight into what you can expect to be letting go of with this eclipse. This eclipse will show us the results of those efforts, and from there we can assess which of those strategies have worked and are worth keeping, and which should be let go of.

In summary, you started letting go in December, and now you'll see how good you were at letting go, and then you'll let go of the ways you were letting go that didn't help you let go good enough.

Got it?

One major difference between this lunar eclipse in Sag and the solar one before it is that Jupiter, the planetary ruler of Sagittarius, is finally free from the rigid restrictions of Saturn-ruled Capricorn and Aquarius, and has moved on to the other sign it rules, Pisces, and is sharing the space with dreamy Neptune. That means the overall tone is likely to be much more optimistic-- and who couldn't use some optimism after 14 months of quarantine?

However, bear in mind that Jupiter will retrograde back into Aquarius at the end of July and will remain there until December 2021. This is likely to mean that after a period of relative optimism and freedom, we're likely to return to a few more months requiring personal discipline to benefit the collective before we can fully move forward with the new optimistic and expansive protocol.

There is likely to be some kind of a conflict between the way you're trying to grow and your need to let go around the eclipse, which will call for some adjustments to be made.

On top of this, Mercury is just about to station retrograde, meaning there is the need to rethink, rework, redo, reconsider things, especially things done since 5/15/2021, when Mercury entered the retrograde shadow.

I would encourage you to choose a cautiously optimistic approach to any eclipse, this one included. Aim for the outcome you'd most prefer, but understand that to some degree, the events at this time aren't entirely under your control. Leave room for the unexpected.

If possible, avoid launching any important projects at this time.

The energy of the eclipse will be most intense the day of, and will set the tone for the next two weeks until the next lunation. Which is another eclipse! Which means waiting another two weeks beyond that before things go back to 'normal.’
