Aries Full Moon 2021
This full moon will be exact at 27 degrees of Aries on 20 October 2021 at 7:56 a.m. PT/ 10:56 a.m. ET/ 3:56 p.m. UK
This lunation coincides with the culmination of our efforts over the past six months to passionately assert ourselves as creative individuals.
This full moon is in Aries and is thus ruled by Mars, who remains concealed from view beneath the beams of the sun after their recent cazimi on October 8th. Mars is seeking infinite equality and justice in this last decan of Libra, but if blinded by rage could be inclined towards actions of the two-wrongs-don’t-make-a-right variety. While Mars would ordinarily prefer direct action, due to its current condition the will to action here is indirect and/or unseen.
Mars is separating from a recent trine to Jupiter in the third decan of Aquarius, indicating that just prior to this full moon we likely experienced an ease of combining that desire to act fairly with the wisdom of knowing when to leave a situation of diminishing returns. But now Mars is applying to square Pluto, an indication that attempted actions are likely to butt heads with the unsavory realities of traditions, institutions, bureaucracies and other things of a similar flavor. As a result, we will need to make adjustments to move forward.
Mercury will have stationed direct two days prior to this lunation and has been copresent with the Sun and Mars for the past month. Having thoroughly reconsidered the Libran topics of diplomacy, negotiation, boundaries, balance and fairness as they relate to our ambitions for several weeks, we are now inclined to express the results of our ruminations.
Zealously inspired to pursue or fight for some beloved person, place or thing, passions run high, fueling dramatic displays of emotion.
As with any full moon, use the events of this time to take stock of which approaches to creatively asserting your individuality are serving you well, and which are not. Over the next six months, work on shedding those approaches which have proven to result in undesirable consequences to make room for more constructive possibilities going forward.
